HOW WE WORK
Start by clicking any of the “Get Started” buttons on our site.
We’ll review your situation and get back to you via email with 24 hours of receiving your form. If we feel we would be a good match for your training needs, you will receive instructions on how to book an initial 90 minute lesson.
Step One: Let’s Meet
We will have an introductory lesson where we will accomplish the following:
Diagnose problem and evaluate how the environment influences your dog’s behavior
Take first steps to make immediate changes and create your new normal
Plan long term goals and objectives
Step Two: Plan Our Work
We provide a customized training plan and schedule based on the diagnosis and goals established during the introductory lesson
Step Three: Work Our Plan
We will meet in-person at the interval prescribed in your plan
Each one-hour lesson includes:
written learning objectives
Plan to spend 60-90 minutes per day on homework
There is interim access via email/text, including video review, to support homework as needed
On Command Dog Training is a boutique training service for people who need well mannered companion dogs. We've been educating families like yours since 2013.
Most of our work involves helping our clients raise well mannered puppies and solving problems with older dogs.
We work with both pure bred and mixed breed dogs.
On Command is different from most training companies. We do most of our work using objective, third party standards. We don't believe in making things up as we go along to sell you our next "class".
The American Kennel Club (AKC) has been the standard bearer for dog breeding and behavior for over 135 years. We set the objectives for our obedience work against AKC minimum behavior standards. We encourage our clients to attend an AKC event and have their dog evaluated by a third party. This way, you know we're serious about results.
Some dogs achieve these standards faster than others, but we're in it for the long haul if you are. We ask a lot of our clients but no less than we ask of ourselves. Good training takes both knowledge and effort.
We'll supply the knowledge if you'll supply the effort.
Are you up for the challenge?
